The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Gender History within the School of Humanities.
The successful candidate will deliver a range of teaching, supervision and assessment activities for students on the MSc Media, Culture and Society (College of Social Sciences) in 2024-25. The successful candidate will teach and convene the postgraduate course, ‘Gender History Applied’, in which students evaluate existing initiatives and propose new interventions to ‘gender’, ‘queer’ and ‘decolonise’ historical interpretations within key public history sites such as museums and galleries, archives and libraries, community history, and screen media.
The role also includes the following: the supervision of PGT dissertations; working alongside other academic and Professional Services colleagues to enhance the student experience; pursuing scholarship on pedagogy relevant to their discipline; and undertaking necessary administrative and service duties.
