The post will involve a range of teaching activities at undergraduate and postgraduate level, potentially including lecturing, laboratory teaching, tutorial and workshop support, and writing and marking of assessments.
Applications for Teaching Fellow positions will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification in computational chemistry or physical chemistry, and enthusiasm for supporting students in their drive to learn. Successful candidates will need to have an excellent work ethic and a strong commitment to delivering the best experience for our students. Some evidence of past engagement with teaching as well as coding experience are essential.
The School of Chemistry has a national and international reputation for excellence in research and teaching. Our QTE-CDT will provide an opportunity to work in a stimulating environment to contribute to the creation of an exciting training programme (see https://qte.ac.uk/programme/). We are also committed to allowing the holder of this position to develop during their tenure, through association with a research group and/or supporting them in preparing cases for Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
