About the Role
For informal enquiries, please contact Neophytos Neophytou (Professor) at N.Neophytou@warwick.ac.uk.
This is a full time (36.5hrs/week) fixed-term contract for up to 3 years, finishing no later than 30 September 2027.
We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow for the EPSRC Project ‘Bandstructure and doping engineering for unprecedented power factors in half- Heusler thermoelectrics - HHThermMA,’ led by Principal Investigator, Prof. Neophytos Neophytou.
This role involves investigating the thermoelectric transport properties of Heusler materials and their alloys (primarily half but also full-Heuslers). The work includes enhancing and integrating methods such as Density Function Theory (DFT), Density Functional Perturbation Theory (DFPT), linear scaling DFT codes (LSDFT), and Boltzmann Transport simulations (BTE). The project contains bandstructure materials engineering for high thermoelectric power factors.
We will consider applications for employment on a part-time or other flexible working basis, even where a position is advertised as full-time, unless there are operational or other objective reasons why it is not possible to do so.
CLOSING DATE: Thursday 15 August 2024 at 11.55 pm
