The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Liverpool is embarking on an exciting period of growth of its academic staff base and taught programmes. We are now looking for a high calibre colleague to join us at Professorial level to help develop a new taught postgraduate programme in Engineering Management.
We are seeking to appoint a Professor of Engineering at 0.5 FTE, who will be a member of the Teaching and Scholarship (T&S) staff in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The person appointed to this fixed-term post will work on the development of a new MSc in Engineering Management, for delivery from academic year 2025/26. The postholder will then cover modules appropriate to their skillset, alongside tutorials and projects taught within this new MSc programme and other programmes as required. The successful candidate will interact with between 20 and 150 students across a variety of modules in different academic settings. The successful candidate will provide pastoral care for tutor groups, maintain contact with students within modules, arrange and mark assignments and supervise undergraduate and Masters level research projects.
A PhD in a relevant field is required for this post.
This is a part time role, 0.5 FTE, Fixed Term from 1 September 2024 for 24 months.
