The Van Geest Centre for Brain Repair is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join the Laboratory & Facilities team to help support the smooth running of the building.
As part of the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, the centre focuses on neurodegenerative diseases as well as providing a clinical testing area for patients involved in clinical trials.
The successful candidate will provide clerical services to the building, as well as welcoming patients and visitors, and assisting the clinic staff. This includes face to face interactions with staff, students, visitors, PA/secretarial responsibilities, and incoming/outgoing post duties for the building and The Academic Lead.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have experience working within a clerical/administrative and customer facing role. Ideally the candidate will have experience shipping dangerous goods though training can be provided. The candidate should have good IT skills (including Office suite experience) and be able to manage their time and work effectively. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.
This is a part-time role so we can offer flexibility regarding the total hours (25hrs), but we would expect the postholder to work core hours each day. The role will primarily be on-site but occasional days working from home may be available.
