The role will involve running of a portfolio of cellular studies, whilst initiating and managing different projects as well as taking a lead role within the department.
You’ll take a leading role in engagement with patients and heart failure professionals and dissemination of the stem cell research and provide specialist research and clinical care to research study participants within the stem cell program at Barts Heart Centre. Your role will form part of the cardiac and stem cell research management team, where you’ll help coordinate, establish and deliver a wide portfolio of research programmes.
You’ll also co-ordinate the treatment pathway for patients being treated for stem cell therapy and support the delivery of care for these patients by promoting greater collaboration amongst the health care professionals caring for this group of patients.
In addition, you’ll work closely with the medical and senior research team and the funders to develop strategies for the dissemination and diffusion of information to patients and health care professionals, whilst working with health professionals across all interfaces to improve the awareness and dissemination of our stem cell therapy for heart failure patients.
You’ll be a Registered Nurse with significant post registration experience and have a strong critical care or cardiology background. Excellent time management and IT skills are essential to the role and experience of formal and informal teaching and clinical research will be advantageous.
