About the role
The Faculty of Science & Technology has a reputation for producing high quality graduates and world leading research. We are looking for an enthusiastic Demonstrator in Archaeology and Anthropology, to join a dynamic and highly qualified team, part of the department of Archaeology and Anthropology, a buoyant department which has an internationally renowned reputation and a strong practical character.
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, an interest in teaching and learning as well as a thorough knowledge of the key techniques and practices that underpin Archaeology and Anthropology.
Reporting to the Head of Department of Archaeology and Anthropology and working within the whole department, you will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses and support research students in the Department in collaboration with appropriate members of the academic staff. You will contribute to the sustained excellence of the student learning experience.
Candidates should have experience in Archaeology and Anthropology, either in an education or industry context, and have experience working with collections and fieldwork.
This position is available part-time on a 0.8FTE basis. Anticipated working days will be Monday to Thurs can be discussed upon appointment. There may be exceptions to the working pattern based on the needs of the business, but that will be agreed with the post holder in advance of such changes.
