Catering & Hospitality Assistants play a super-important role in the UEA’s ‘The Campus Kitchen’ in providing efficient support for barista and food service throughout the day.
Working in any of our 14 outlets (with a focus on Unio and BOX) and busy hospitality department, you will assist with preparation and service of food and drinks, delivered catering, keeping our outlets clean and tidy, and even assisting at a variety of functions and events.
BOX is an afternoon into the evening pizza operation, served in the university bars with a menu consisting of hand-stretched and topped pizza, garlic bread, loaded nachos and dough balls.
Unio has evolved into an Asian-influenced barista outlet serving sushi, onigiri, gyoza, poke salads & rice boxes. Frozen mochi ice cream balls are available in 6 flavours and a wide selection of Bubble Tea flavours are made-to-order, alongside a menu of handcrafted coffees.
Campus Kitchen are excited to have 2 part time positions available for front of house staff to assist with the everyday operation of these outlets.

Previous experience of working in a catering environment with some barista training or experience is beneficial, but not essential as full training & coaching will be given. Shift patterns will be for both weekdays and weekends in Unio and BOX, working both day and evening shifts to suit the business needs.
