About the Role
The Head of Business Change is a key leadership role in the Programme and Project Delivery Group (‘PPDG’) within IT Services at the University of Oxford. Working in close collaboration with a highly diverse community of stakeholders, this group is responsible for successful shaping and delivery of a large capital programme of IT investment (circa £60 million over 3 years) in support of University strategic commitments. You will be joining us at a particularly exciting period when the team are central in supporting delivery of a University-wide digital transformation programme.

As Head of Business Change, you are a senior member of PPDG and work closely with our IT portfolio and programme managers and heads of practice for business analysis, project management and solutions testing, to ensure service excellence against the back-drop of a fast-paced and intellectually stimulating environment.

You will lead and support a diverse team of business change professionals deployed across an array of large, complex projects. You will undertake long-range, collaborative resource planning and allocation to ensure our pipelines of work can be delivered and you will lead and grow the business change practice, acting as a champion and advocate for the services your team and the wider PPDG provide.

About You
To succeed in this role you will need drive, creativity, passion and resilience in supporting successful technology-led change. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and enjoy liaising and engaging with a wide variety of stakeholders from across our academic, student and professional services communities.

You will have sensitivity and skill in supporting everyone around you to thrive in a demanding and complex environment. You should have extensive experience as a business change leader in a technology context, particularly where culture change is required or unpicking of local processes and practices that are potential blockers to change. Using your experience and skills, you will be a credible and trusted leader for your team, able to guide and develop them on their individual career trajectories alongside growing the reputation and value delivered by the business change function.

Application Process
You will be required to upload a covering letter/supporting statement, CV and the details of two referees as part of your online application.

The closing date for applications is Monday 22 July at 12:00 noon and only applications submitted before will be considered.

Interviews will be taking place on the week commencing 29 July and taking place in person in Central Oxford.
