Arts University Bournemouth

About us

Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is a globally leading independent arts, design, performance and media university.

At AUB we nurture creativity, engage communities, collaborate with industry and make a difference.

Our commitment to EDI

Our core commitment to diversity, inclusion and a sustainable future truly values the diversity of our students and staff, creating an inclusive environment where everyone’s identities and talents are valued and respected.  We welcome applications from all areas of the community and particularly encourage applications from people from ethnic minority backgrounds and people who are disabled, who are currently underrepresented in our workforce.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced academic with an interest in online course management, development, and delivery to manage our growing online course provision.

As Online Programme Manager, the postholder will report to the Executive Director for Academic Innovation and oversee course development both with CEG Digital and AUB online courses. The postholder will maintain oversight of the continual development of new online courses, and planning and managing the development of academic module content, along with the Programme and Module Leaders, in line with the relevant production schedules.

The Online Programme Manager will be the first line of contact for CEG, the Online Programme Leaders and Module Leaders, and other AUB stakeholders.  As such they will be the conduit for all aspects of AUB’s online course delivery, including coordination of staff resourcing through collaboration with Human Resources.

The postholder will steer the online courses during their development phase and ensure outstanding quality and student experience within the VLE and in line with institutional policy, expectations, and guidelines. Additionally, they will provide guidance to online course staff regarding moderation, communications with External Examiners, ensuring student feedback and the learning experience aligns with AUB values and quality expectations; liaising regularly with Programme Leaders and Module Leaders to receive feedback from them on the progression of the module.

Our benefits

In meeting your performance expectations, each year you’ll have a salary increase in line with the grade of your role.  As well as this there is an annual cost of living increase.  AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment.  Along with subsidised bus travel, cycle to work and annual savings schemes, our broad range of benefits can be explored on the AUB careers website https://aub.ac.uk/working-at-aub.
