Are you interested in working at our prestigious University? We have an exciting new opportunity to join the University of Sheffield’s influential Procurement Team. We are looking for a strong procurement professional to join our team as Deputy Head of Procurement (Innovation, Research & Development), to manage several Category Managers and to get involved with University of Sheffield’s Research Centre’s and the Advanced Manufacturing Group.
The successful candidate will support the delivery of the Procurement Strategy with our Head of Procurement and Deputy Head of Procurement (Central Services & Operations). We need a strong communicator who can manage the demands of a wide range of stakeholders whilst negotiating complex tendering activity. The successful candidate will need to support and develop our team of Category Managers within Innovation, Research and Development.
We enable our employees to work in a hybrid model with flexibility over when, where and how the role is undertaken (in discussion with your manager), but would expect you to be on campus no less than 40% of the week.
