Lecturer in Sport Coaching (AC3)

We are seeking applications to join the Division of Sport, Exercise & Health as a Lecturer in Sport Coaching. You will join a dedicated team who strive to continuously inspire our students and wider University community, deliver modern and innovative teaching and lead impactful research. 

The successful candidate should have the following:

  • Doctorate qualification or close to completion
  • Professionally recognised coaching qualifications and relevant experience working or volunteering as a sport coach
  • Experience of leading the development and delivery of sport coaching modules in higher education, including the use of authentic/real-world assessment approaches
  • Evidence of engagement in research activity and authorship of peer-reviewed publications
  • Research supervision experience at undergraduate level
  • Experience of hybrid delivery of learning and teaching
  • Commitment to supporting an outstanding student experience

We are particularly keen to speak to candidates who have:

  • A qualification in teaching and learning in higher education and/or Advance HE Fellowship
  • Expertise in sport performance and/or strength and conditioning
  • Research supervision experience at postgraduate level
