The STEMM Libraries team are delighted to be able to advertise this very exciting role which is a unique combination of library management and research support for the physical sciences.
You will manage the Betty and Gordon Moore library, a multi-disciplinary science library, located at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences and will be responsible for a team of library assistants who, alongside reader services, provide specialist support to other STEMM libraries. You will promote the library and its services to the wider Cambridge community.
The Betty and Gordon Moore Library has a dual role as the subject library for the Faculty of Mathematics, and you will oversee collection development and academic liaison with the two Mathematics Departments.
In your capacity as Research Support Lead you will work with the Research Services Manager, acting as a liaison point between the Office for Scholarly Communication (OSC) and SPS libraries. You will develop and deliver services to support research and research assessment and work closely with Departmental Librarians to help deliver such services across the School of Physical Sciences Libraries. You will also contribute to the delivery and development of STEMM wide programmes.
If you combine a strong track record in library management with a good understanding of how libraries can support researchers, then we'd love to hear from you!
