The University of St Andrews is seeking to appoint an exceptional Graphic Designer to join its award-winning Corporate Communications team.
Working in a fast-paced environment as an integral member of the University’s dynamic Corporate Communications team, you will have a can-do approach with an eagerness to learn and develop your skills as a key member of the team. The Graphic Designer will be part of the Print and Design Unit within Corporate Communications, reporting to the Design Unit Manager.
You will play a central role in supporting the team to deliver high-quality digital and print content for coordinated campaigns aligned to the University Strategy 2022 – 2027.
Working as part of a small team, you will support the delivery of key print and digital content for a number of internal and external audiences including, but not limited to, print and digital marketing, content in support of student recruitment, strategic publications and for internal and external channels.
Corporate Communications is one of the central professional services units for the University. We create, show and tell stories to demonstrate the University’s global impact and relevance to wider society, supporting the strategic goals of the institution. The team is responsible for the development and delivery of strategic internal and external communications activities, ensuring a coordinated and cohesive approach to communications and marketing content across all strategic themes and channels.
Print and Design is part of Corporate Communications and provides a full range of design and print services directly to University Schools, Units, staff, students and the public. Services offered range from stationery to fine art giclée prints and includes full colour brochures, leaflets, flyers, posters (A4-A0 and larger) and banners, with design work being adapted for both print and digital use.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK’s leading university and to be part of a small but essential team at the heart of the University. The post will be based primarily in Katherine’s West in St Andrews with partial home working in line with St Andrews’ hybrid working policy.
