To support the UK’s national centre for excellence for ground and space-based astronomy we have an opportunity for an Estates Operations and Safety Manager to lead the UKATC Estates Services team in support of STFC’s vision and mission.
This is a key role at the high profile STFC Royal Observatory Edinburgh, leading the supportive Estates Services team in the provision of an efficient, effective and customer focussed estates and facilities management service.
The role holder will have a high degree of autonomy and principal accountability for the efficient and effective service delivery and the compliant operation of the STFC Estate and technical infrastructure that directly enables research output, including all aspects of built environment projects, hard and soft facilities services and site health and safety.
The post-holder will need to be confident managing internal teams and contracted service providers in the delivery of maintenance and facilities services and project delivery with equal composure and efficiency.
This is a fast-paced, varied, and interesting role, in which a productivity focused and enthusiastic but methodical professional will thrive.
