We require a Clinical Veterinarian in Farm Animal Practice to join the farm animal team of the Department of Veterinary Medicine in a temporary cover position. The post is available from 1st August till the 15th December 2024.

The person appointed will be a key player in the development and provision of clinical services in the farm animal field, undertaken for teaching, focusing on sheep and cattle. Practical instruction of veterinary students is central to this position. The successful applicant will benefit from the wide-ranging facilities within the Department, including a strong team of support staff.

The successful candidate will have shared responsibility for the day-to-day running of the first opinion practice and become an initial contact for farm clients. Will deliver clinical instruction to undergraduate veterinary students in the Department, through the medium of small-group teaching and complete administration tasks associated with the primary role.

Candidates must be members of the RCVS or hold a degree qualifying them for membership, and have experience in all aspects of modern farm animal medicine, particularly herd health. Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area is desirable.
