If you love code and have strong analytical skills this could be a great opportunity to join the ISIS Scientific Software Group!
You will work on the software package SpinW (https://github.com/SpinW/spinw), which is used to simulate the magnetic dynamics of ordered magnetic materials and determine the spin exchange interactions by fitting to inelastic neutron scattering data.
If you are a research software engineer, scientist with strong programming skills, or software engineer with a strong technical or scientific background this role would offer you a great opportunity to work in a high-level research environment, with the chance to learn from and work together with scientists, researchers and software developers with a variety of backgrounds and skills.
The role may include occasional UK and overseas travel, including to the Paul Scherrer Institut (PSI) in Switzerland.
