An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Lecturer to join our Social Work team within the Faculty of Life Sciences and Education on a permanent basis. The post holder will be expected to lead and develop the post qualifying modules of the social work provision. You will also lead in the identification and application of best practice for work placements and on-going professional development on undergraduate provision.

The post holder will support stakeholder partners in establishing good quality practice learning provision. With a specific responsibility for partnership will act as the ‘bridge’ between the partner training units and the social work program. The post holder will need to establish and develop partnerships and practice learning, which is proactive, innovative and stimulating in its approach to addressing learning needs.

The successful applicant will also teach on a range of modules across the social work/health & social care subject areas

Postholders must have a minimum three years professional experience in a social work setting. The postholders must also have experience of facilitating the learning and assessment of students, an understanding of contemporary healthcare and social care issues in higher education.

The postholder will have a base at Newport campus. This is a permanent, full-time contract.
