Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Associate Professor in Sustainable Geoenergy within UCD School of Earth Sciences
UCD School of Earth Sciences seeks to appoint an Associate Professor in Sustainable Geoenergy from 1st September 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter. We particularly wish to attract applications from those with expertise in the geoscience underpinning the energy transition and a track record of driving and funding cutting-edge research in application areas such as geostorage (including CCS), natural hydrogen, and geothermal energy.
Candidates must possess a PhD in Geology or Earth Sciences and have an outstanding output of published scientific research for their career stage. The appointed person will be an enthusiastic and experienced university teacher who can enhance our existing degree programmes (Earth Sciences BSc (Hons) and MSc in Subsurface Characterisation and Geomodelling). They will also be able to contribute to the development of new teaching initiatives at undergraduate and graduate levels. Candidates must also be able to lead geology field classes and be capable of supervising final year BSc students and MSc students undertaking laboratory and field-based research projects.

95 Associate Professor\2010 Salary Scale: €80,896 - €114,243 per annum
