Global Sustainable Development at the University of Warwick is calling for PhD applications for the Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarships Programme - TRANSFORM. TRANSFORM is a Leverhulme Trust Doctoral Scholarship Programme that provides a new research training pathway for sustainability. The PhD programme aims to train a new generation of transdisciplinary leaders who are able to address current and future sustainability challenges.
One PhD studentship is available for entry in September 2024. The successful candidate will be based in Global Sustainable Development. Applicants are invited to submit an application through the Open Call route.
How to apply:
You need to submit an application for MPhil/PhD in Global Sustainable Development and an application for the TRANSFORM scholarship. Step by step guideline of the application process can be found on the link provided.
Eligibility:
Applicants should have an honours degree (2:1 or above) and a relevant Master’s degree, or equivalent qualifications or experience. Applications are welcome from all disciplines contributing to the TRAMSFORM programme. Applicants are advised to contact potential supervisors to discuss their potential project informally before submitting an application.
Funding:
The scholarship will cover full tuition fees at the UK/Home fee level. Each scholarship will also provide a stipend for 4 years at the UKRI rate (for 2024/2025, this is £19,237.00 and rates will increase slightly in subsequent years of the award). Fees at the overseas rate will not be available. There will be additional funding available for research and training expenses. Students would normally be expected to be enrolled full-time.
