What we’re looking for

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join NCUK as a Governance Manager.

This is a brand new position for NCUK, which will play a key role in supporting the senior leadership team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of actions across the business, will service NCUK’s Board of Directors’ (BoD) sub-committees and support NCUK’s Board Secretary in delivery of BoD agenda-setting, meetings and actions.

What will you do?

This role will be responsible for providing support to the Senior Leadership Team, Regional Meetings, Academic Group, Sanctions Group, as well as any other internal meetings and task and finish groups.

It will also support the Board Sub-Committees, working closely with NCUK’s Board Secretary. These meetings include the Business Assurance Committee, People and Culture Committee, and Academic Committee.

What do you need?

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • a degree or equivalent qualification
  • proven experience in high-quality committee work
  • governance experience in higher education or similar complex environments
  • demonstratable principles of good governance
  • track record of continuous improvement and delivering results in complex organisations
  • experience in managing projects, difficult situations, and maintaining high professional standards.
