The Role and Department
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic team, to deliver and enhance the University’s reward strategy. The Reward Advisor will be a subject matter expert in a team that provides specialist advice and guidance to managers and other HR colleagues on our pay, reward and recognition arrangements. They will lead on assigned projects to transform and modernise our approach alongside managing annual processes relating to pay and progression.
The Reward Team works collaboratively with various other teams across the wider HR function, including our Recruitment, Payroll, Pensions, Business Partnering and Organisational Development Teams. Although the role will predominantly support our reward arrangements, which help the University to attract, retain and reward the best talent in a globally competitive employment market, there will also be an opportunity to support projects across the broad spectrum of HR&OD.
There is lots of scope for development and future career progression at Durham and the role is likely to appeal to reward specialists or HR generalists who have developed expertise in reward management. We work flexibly and operate hybrid working arrangements meaning the postholder can work remotely for most of the week.
