About the Role
The School of Business and Management (SBM) seeks to recruit an outstanding Teaching Fellow in Marketing and Communications. The Department of Marketing offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to our suite of UG and PG programmes in a progressive institution and to work with colleagues leading the field.
About You
You will be proficient in delivering Marketing and Communications-related fields of study. You will make a contribution to the intellectual life of the Department and primarily be responsible for the delivery of high-quality teaching on field of marketing including assessments and the development of innovations in key aspects of teaching and learning. The School is strongly committed to the development of all its staff and we will ensure that the successful candidate has the opportunity to develop.
About the School of Business and Management, and the Department of Marketing
The School of Business and Management is one of the eight schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School has been undergoing a period of rapid growth, doubling our number of academic staff over the last five years. We presently have 100 academic staff. We have over 2,000 undergraduate business studies students plus approximately 800 students taking business in combination with other degree subjects within QMUL. At the post-graduate level we have approximately 1,100 MSc students and a well-established doctoral programme of around 80 doctoral students.
SBM’s core purpose is to promote social justice, sustainability and good governance in the management of private, public and voluntary organisations through our research and education. We are a distinctive School that takes a humanities and social science-led approach to our scholarship, including interdisciplinarity and are now the largest school within QMUL’s Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, with its traditional strengths as a site of critical thinking in the humanities, law, history, geography and politics.
The Department of Marketing is research-led, with a focus on excellence in research and teaching. The Department is home to two undergraduate and seven postgraduate programmes encompassing broad and specialist degree offerings. Applicants should be proficient in Marketing and/or any of the Marketing related areas including Communications, Consumer Behaviour, Data Analytics, Digital Economy, Digital Culture, Creative Industries and Research Methods for Marketing.
