We are seeking a highly motivated Administrative Assistant with a positive attitude towards change and development to provide administrative support to the Neurobiology Division at the MRC LMB.
This varied role involves daily interaction with a broad range of internal stakeholders including research scientists and operational staff. As the first point of contact in the office for members of the Division, providing guidance and information across several key areas including onboarding new staff, managing events and routine office administration.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of five GCSEs, including Maths and English or equivalent (education to A level or beyond would be an advantage), excellent written and verbal communication skills and be confident in using standard IT office packages. As well as a flexible approach to working and managing tasks as they arise in an organised manner.
Experience working within an office environment would be advantageous. However, this position is an excellent opportunity for those beginning a career in administration, to gain experience and develop skills. Full training will be given in all aspects of the role and the LMB offer a wide range of staff development opportunities. The successful candidate will work well within a team, fostering great working relationships with a variety of people, using their initiative, with a proactive can-do attitude.
