About the role
You will work on a research project investigating a new group intervention, called the Autism Transition to Adulthood Group (A-TAG), which aims to improve well-being in autistic young adults. The project is being led by Professor Ailsa Russell at Bath and Dr Kate Cooper and Professor Will Mandy at UCL.
The A-TAG group intervention is currently being co-designed by autistic young people, professionals, and researchers. The project is a collaboration between autism charities (Ambitious about Autism, NAS), and the Universities of Bath, York, and UCL, and includes autistic young people as part of the research team. We are conducting a 22-month feasibility Randomised Controlled Trial, to see if a definitive trial is indicated. The project is ongoing and this advert is for a 10-month post, starting in August or September 2024.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day conduct of the research, including responsibilities such as participant recruitment, data collection, data management, patient and public involvement work, and will support the data analysis.
We are keen to recruit a candidate with strong skills in working collaboratively with autistic young people, and with good quantitative and qualitative research skills.
This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 30/06/2025.
