We are currently inviting applications for a Timetable Manager to expand our MK:U acceleration project team.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Projects and Operations, this role sits at the heart of MK:U, joining the team at an early stage to lead on timetable strategy and delivery for MK:U, working closely across the academic and operational teams to co-ordinate MK:U’s growing education portfolio.

We offer 15-36 month courses, and the Timetable Manager will have a significant impact on student experience, MK:U’s operations, our brand reputation and securing both student and business prospects. You will need to plan ahead, defining the timing of modules across the full course portfolio, as well as the detailed timetable for the next 18-20 months of each cohort, co-ordinating module sharing and negotiating with academics and clients. In addition, you will take responsibility for longer-term timetabling, advising Executive decision-making on timings and scheduling of new long and short courses, which will be vital to the delivery of the business plan and long-term financial sustainability.

About You

You must be excited about education innovation and about further developing MK:U as a new technology university in Milton Keynes.

As Timetable Manager, you will have expertise in using Excel and working with large data sets. You will have an eye for accuracy and spotting anomalous results/errors and possible clashes before they occur. You will proactively identify data trends and be able to present data effectively to senior managers to support strategic decision-making.

You will be able to demonstrate your resilience and ability to work within a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment along with interpersonal & communication skills that allow you to convey detailed information in a clear, concise format.

You must have a degree-level qualification and experience of timetabling and/or of business process improvement. Whilst prior knowledge of the Higher Education sector isn’t essential, you will be expected to develop your understanding quickly and demonstrate your ability to take charge of a key business process and adapt it with agility to changes in the business.

Due to the nature of this position, any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
