This Opportunity

We are seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced Head of Cloud Infrastructure to help us grow and develop our existing team. You will oversee the function and lead a team of skilled specialists to ensure that resources are appropriately allocated, including managing third party contracts/suppliers. You will also establish the strategic direction and future roadmap for the service.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in technical leadership, the ability to inspire and develop staff and experience leading cloud operations/infrastructure activities, at all times operating with a mindset of creativity and continuous improvement. You will be an excellent communicator, problem-solver and adept at managing senior stakeholders and customers.

Apply Now

If you are ready to be part of a talented and growing team who work across the university community, then we would love to hear from you. Every day is different, and we are looking for individuals who will embrace this diversity and enjoy working in a continually evolving digital landscape.

This post is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) ; however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.

What if you don’t meet every single requirement of the person specification? We would encourage you to apply anyway. Whilst it is likely that the successful candidate does have experience in a number of the required areas, your aptitude, motivation and delivery focus are just as important as your current skill set. We know that a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace is not only a better place to work but also produces higher quality solutions and delivers better service. We also know that some groups of people are less likely to apply for a role unless they meet 100% of the person
