About us:
As one of the largest employers in Oxford, we pride ourselves in the great experience we offer our staff. You’ll be joining a friendly, professional environment where every member of staff is recognised as important to the success of Oxford Brookes University.
About the role: As Project Manager in the Strategic Change and Project Governance Team you will be joining a team with responsibility for the governance and oversight of projects and process improvements within the strategic change portfolio of Oxford Brookes University.
You should expect to be managing multiple projects, whilst also supporting implementation of Process Improvement outputs and undertaking development work for future projects – taking ideas forward to support senior stakeholders driving successful change.
The role will be diverse and interesting, engaging with stakeholders at all levels and across the business functions of the University. You will be joining the team at an exciting time, as the University is embarking on a number of strategically important projects, whilst also continuing to refine the governance and reporting structure across our Strategic Change agenda.
This isn’t a role where you’ll have to “fit in” with existing ways of working. We like creativity and innovation and you can really make an impact and help to shape the agenda.
You’ll be joining a highly motivated and friendly team. We split our time flexibly between working from home and working in our open plan office .
About you:
We know that sometimes people can be put off applying for a job, but we realise the 'perfect candidate' doesn't exist. So, if you are excited about working for us go ahead and apply. You could be exactly what we need.
You will have led and managed projects, many with information technology elements, in a complex change environment, whilst working with multiple stakeholders (including suppliers). Working across organisational / structural boundaries will already be a part of your day to day work, as will leading and influencing staff at all levels to ensure ownership of project objectives.
Application process
As part of the application process, we ask that all candidates submit a covering letter and a CV. Please make sure to provide examples of how your skills and experience align with the selection criteria outlined in the Person Specification table. Once you have completed this, please upload your covering letter and CV as part of your application.
Flexible working:
We support a work-life balance for all staff, including career breaks, job sharing, flexible hours, etc. The team is based in our recently refurbished offices on our Headington Campus, joining other colleagues who work approximately one or two days a week in the office on average and the remainder at home. The agile workspace is designed to offer various styles of working, such as collaborative spaces, hybrid meeting spaces, individual workstations and a more relaxed setting of comfy sofas.
