The Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL) at LUMS in Lahore, Pakistan, invites applications for full-time assistant professor or early associate professor position on a tenure track.

About SAHSOL

SAHSOL offers a five-year BA-LL.B degree, drawing the brightest students nationwide. Our faculty is vibrant, with diverse research interests and teaching portfolios. Since its establishment in 2005, the law faculty has provided rigorous training in core legal skills and a cross-disciplinary, contextualised education in law and policy. We provide research and pedagogical excellence, supporting faculty in publication and advocacy.

About the Role

The successful candidate will:

• Maintain high research standards
• Serve on departmental and university committees
• Contribute to current and future undergraduate and graduate programmes

The appointment will begin in Spring 2025.

Education and Experience

Applicants should:

• Have a professional degree in law and a terminal research degree or equivalent practical or teaching experience
• Preferably have a PhD or demonstrate strong evidence of relevant research 

Who Should Apply

Ideal candidates will have a clear interest in law research and teaching, with cross-disciplinary expertise welcomed. Specialisations in Islamic Legal Theory, Family Law, Criminal Law and Procedure, Law and Technology, and Clinical Legal Education are particularly encouraged.
