The University of Roehampton is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join Professor Bryony Hoskins’ dynamic research team.
The position arises from Professor Bryony Hoskins (PI) having won an EU/UKRI research project on Strategies for achieving equity and inclusion in education, training and learning in democratic Europe (STRIDE) Stride (stride-research.eu). The position arises from September 2024.
The successful candidate will have knowledge in the education field and a high-level expertise in quantitative research methods. They will have experience in conducting quantitative statistical analysis on existing longitudinal datasets including but not limited to; Millennium Cohort Study; Next Steps (previously called the Longitudinal Study of Young People in England (LSYPE); Understanding Society Longitudinal Study; British Household Panel Survey. They will have the statistical skills to combine these datasets with administrative data such as the National Pupil Database (NPD);. They will have experience of identifying the possible effects of policy reforms using statistical analysis.
Their research interests should be in either or a combination of statistics, education, inequalities and political engagement. They need to be able to assist the Principal Investigator as required and independently where necessary.
