Building on the success of our Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021 submission, Leeds Beckett University is recruiting a Research Impact and Policy Engagement Manager to join our team to be the principal specialist in leading on the support for the development, promotion, and recording of impact from our research, which will inform on the development of our impact case studies for REF2029.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of initiating, managing, developing, and providing guidance and training to academic staff and school management teams on how to understand, assess and collect evidence of the external impact of their research and publications, or other related outputs associated with engagement. The successful candidate will work directly with Directors of Research and senior academic and professional services colleagues who support research impact across the University.
The successful candidate will ideally have an advanced understanding of the policy landscape within UK and wider and will be responsible for supporting academics with monitoring and tracking the development of policy and public engagement activities for research excellence and knowledge exchange and developing pathways to achieving and evidencing impact via change to policy at a regional, national, and international level.
