About the Role
The candidate should be creative and lead and contribute to the aims of the unit in the area of business development, in particular initiating quality improvement in relation to systems and procedures and being responsible for training and events coordination, website management, and day to day administrative management.
About You
The candidate should have graduate or equivalent standard of experience in the relevant field. Have extensive administrative experience in a number of roles with growing responsibilities. Have experience of project management and demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving. Excellent IT skills including email, word processing and databases (MS Office) is essential.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The Pragmatic Clinical Trials Unit (PCTU) within the Centre for Centre for Evaluation and Methods supports clinical trials in which the primary question of interest relates to intervention effectiveness: whether an intervention works under real-life conditions. The unit focuses particularly on trials of complex interventions. The aim of the unit is to lead, support and encourage high quality pragmatic trials and pilot studies where they fit with the research strategies of the unit or with its methodological interests of the unit.
