About the Role
We are looking for passionate and inspiring individuals to join our team in the FLEX department.
The primary function of the role of a Job Coach is to ensure that learners with High Needs and SEND whom are studying on the Pre & Supported Internship Programmes are supported whilst out on placement with an employer.
You will share a strong belief in young people’s ability and right to work. You will provide in-work support in the employer’s setting and support young people with Education Health and Care Plans to develop their independent skills.
You will provide instruction that builds from easier to more difficult tasks and breaks down harder skills into smaller parts, to support learners to develop their decision-making, life and work skills.
You will also support employers to enable them to offer a meaningful internship and recruit interns where possible.

You will have experience in supporting young people/vulnerable adults who have additional needs. This could be emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will have the ability to plan, prepare & implement support programmes/assessments as and when required and understand the process around Safeguarding referrals.
You will need to hold or be working towards your Maths and English L2/C/4 grade to be considered for this role and be willing to work towards the Occupational Standard for Supported Employment.
