Applicant Experience Senior Officer

About the Role:

As the Applicant Experience Senior Officer at BIMM University, you will play a crucial role in shaping the journey of our prospective students. You will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and hosting various admissions recruitment events at our local college. Your work will encompass a variety of student recruitment and conversion activities, including open days, workshops, audition/interview days, and other events designed to help applicants make informed decisions about their future studies and careers.

What You'll Do:

  • Plan, Coordinate, and Deliver Events: Organise and execute a schedule of open days, experience days, and audition days. Provide both preparation and on-the-ground assistance during these events to ensure their smooth running.
  • Staff and Representation Management: Ensure adequate staffing and department representation at all applicant experience events. This includes coordinating casual Student Ambassadors to provide student/graduate support.
  • Conduct College Tours: Deliver informative and engaging tours of the college to prospective students and their parents/guests, as well as small group bookings and agents.
  • Monitor and Record Applicant Journeys: Track prospective applicants at every stage from enquiry to enrolment. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the relevant database.
  • Reporting: Produce routine and ad-hoc reports on applicant data for the Applicant Experience Manager, covering event registration, attendance, and subsequent activities aiding strategic decision-making and providing insights into event effectiveness.
  • Social Media Support: Collaborate with the BIMM University marketing team to capture and share recruitment events on social media channels enhancing our online presence and engaging with prospective students.
  • Support Recruitment and Admissions Team: Assisting the wider Recruitment and Admissions Team during peak application periods, ensuring a smooth transition from application to enrolment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Event Planning Experience: Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating events, with a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with confidence in public speaking and presenting to large groups.
  • Technological Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, along with experience in data collection, reporting, and content creation for social media platforms.
  • While not essential, experience working in a higher education setting, holding events management qualifications, and knowledge of BIMM University sectors and courses would be advantageous.
