Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year 

Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

We are looking for talented and pro-active people who can contribute to the work of our International Office. The Deputy International Admissions Manager will play a key role in the international admissions function for the University of Hertfordshire and will support the recruitment and commercial functions of the International Office. 

Main Duties and responsibilities

The Deputy International Admissions Manager will act as part of the senior management team within international admissions to achieve key objectives and targets set for the team by managing workload across all regions and staff.

You will be responsible for managing the International Admissions Officers and assisting in the management of the International Admissions Administrators as required, being responsible for their performance including recruitment, induction, training, appraisal and performance management. Part of your role will be to ensure the team adhere to all agreed Service Level Agreements and are motivated and encouraged to achieve targets and meet deadlines. In addition, you will work closely with the International Recruitment team to gain understanding of designated markets/regions and develop deep understanding of overseas qualifications and education systems. 

Skills and experience required

For this busy and challenging role, you will need excellent management, organisational and IT skills. Proven experience of administrative work, preferably in an educational environment, is advantageous. You should be committed to providing a high-quality service and have excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Experience of customer relationship management systems, student record systems, knowledge of international or EU qualifications or the ability to speak a foreign language would all be advantageous.

Qualifications Required

You must hold a minimum of a degree, or equivalent qualification, or have substantial relevant work experience.
