As an apprentice mechanical engineer at the University of Warwick, you will assist in maintaining, installing, and repairing various mechanical assets. You will learn from and support the mechanical technician, demonstrating exceptional customer service, professionalism, and respect for university property and values. Maintaining punctuality, attending apprenticeship training, and completing required assessments and activities are essential. You will also identify and report any safety hazards to your manager, prioritising the safety of yourself, colleagues, and the public.
We provide a comprehensive training scheme where you will have mentors to support you along the way and if you put in the hard work, we will help you achieve your apprenticeship with flying colours.
About You
You will be a good communicator with the ability to interact with a range of people, be keen to develop and contribute new ideas and skills. You will hold the ability to work as part of a team, follow instructions and learn and adapt to new skills.
