About the Role

The post holder will be joining the Centre for Preventive Neurology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health, Queen Mary University of London and will work within the Parkinson`s disease (PD) group.

The Project Manager will oversee the management all aspects of our Parkinson’s research effort in East London with a particular focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), through this post which is funded by an award from The Michael J Fox Foundation (MJFF).

About You

Candidates must be educated to a good undergraduate degree and a post graduate degree or equivalent professional experience. Key responsibilities will be to manage all aspects for the Parkinson`s research projects including managing budgets and contracts. Strong project management experience and skills are essential as is fluency in both, English and a South Asian language (preferably Bengali), since part of the role will be to support the recruitment of study participants from East London.

The Centre for Preventive Neurology is at the forefront of international research and brings together an expert team to carry out revolutionary new research into Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. The center's focus is on academic discipline, research, the translation of research into health strategies and their practical implementation.

The post is based in Charterhouse Square. It is full time, fixed term appointment until initially 31 December 2025 (with the possibility to extend to full 24 months contract). The salary will be Grade 5/31 – 5/32 at £42,405 - £43,548 (depending on experience) per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
