Senior Teaching Associate (STA) in Atmospheric Science

The Lancaster Environment Centre is one of the world’s largest centres for environmental research and teaching. Our mission is to perform world-leading fundamental research, using that research to advance understanding across society and to help solve global environmental challenges. A critical part of our endeavour is teaching and developing people to live within, and contribute positively to, more sustainable places and environments. We wish to appoint a part-time (0.5 FTE) Senior Teaching Associate (Grade 7) from 1 September 2024 for 10 months to cover a parental leave.

The post will cover undergraduate teaching and learning need related to atmospheric science modules as well as contribution across environmental science and physical geograpy in the academic year 2024/25. This post has been created specifically to have a positive impact on the student experience and to enhance teaching quality. Teaching responsibilities will also include tutorials, dissertation supervision, assessment and marking.
