Launching a global faculty recruitment campaign that aligns with the standards of a world-class university, the university is inviting individuals from diverse backgrounds to apply for faculty positions at the levels of lecturer. The primary language of instruction and administration at CityUHK (Dongguan) is English.

01 Job Responsibilities

  1. The appointees are expected to teach a range of courses in English proficiency, English for academic purposes (EAP), and communication skills for postgraduate students.
  2. The appointees also need to help develop, prepare and assess course materials and give lectures to the students.

02 Requirements

  1. Applicants with a PhD or Master's degree in relevant disciplines in English, a recognized teaching qualification and relevant teaching experience are preferred.
  2. Applicants with experience in the following areas would be particularly welcome:
  • Rich experience in teaching Chinese students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Writing and presentation skills in research as a practitioner, preferably in scientific and technological topics.
  • Experience/commitment to using innovative teaching methodology.
  • Designing teaching materials and teaching high-level proficiency and EAP courses.
  • Teaching pronunciation, perhaps with drama or speech therapy experience.
