Description
The Chester Law School is looking to recruit an experienced legal educator to lead on portfolio and curriculum development and delivery of our LLB and LLM programmes. The post is offered at senior lecturer level with remuneration and level of appointment dependent on experience.
Applications without considerable experience of leading modules in these discipline areas will not be considered. Applicants need to be able to deliver future-facing modules which engage and inspire students across each level of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, where relevant.
Successful applicants must be prepared to be involved in all aspects of Law School leadership and must have experience of leading the design and delivery of modules and curriculum which embed skills development through active learning in the physical and digital learning spaces. The Chester Law School team works collaboratively with colleagues in a hybrid working environment, and in partnership with students.
Candidates must be able to show the link between their research and teaching interests. As well as a strong base in legal education and pedagogic inquiry, School research has a focus on Social Justice, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Employment Law, Criminal Justice, Social welfare (Family Law and the history of social policy development, Education Law), Medical Law and Ethics.
The department is keen to expand our areas of research and applications from active researchers with an established portfolio are encouraged.
Preliminary enquiries may be directed to Dr Erin O’Leary (e.oleary@chester.ac.uk) Head of Division.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
