The Oxford Union Society is seeking a Graduate Trainee to join our library team starting in September 2024. Fixed term for 12 months, this full time post will ideally suit someone looking to start a career in the library and information sector.

Duties will be varied and will include providing loans and enquiry services to readers, classifying new books, running the library’s social media channels, preparing displays of new library materials and assisting with a variety of ongoing digitisation projects as well as undertaking a project of your own.

You will also participate in training, visits, and events run by the Bodleian Libraries Graduate Trainee Scheme, which aims to provide the necessary experience for application to a postgraduate course in Library and Information Management.
