We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lectureship in Oral Medicine within the School of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing.
This is a fixed term post for up to 6 years although the duration may be reduced if the successful candidate has dual qualification in dentistry and medicine. You will be required to travel to various sites in order to fulfil the requirements of the whole training programme.
Glasgow Dental Hospital and School is the major dental referral and teaching centre in the West of Scotland based in the heart of the city centre of Glasgow. It benefits from comprehensive modern facilities for patient care, student training, and for education and research into dental and oral diseases and disorders. The Dental School is consistently highly ranked in the UK University league tables, and we provide staff with excellent opportunities to develop clinical teaching skills and research experience.
Applicants must have a registrable qualification with the General Dental Council and be registered at the time of post commencement.
The post comes with a NTN for oral medicine specialty training. It provides an opportunity for training a junior clinical academic as part of capacity building for the discipline of Oral Medicine within the Dental School.
Clinical training will be a major focus of the Lectureship in order to ensure the appointee can successfully complete a Certificate of Completion of Specialty Training (CCST). The duration of training may be reduced by up to 2 years if eligible and agreed through the ARCP process.
This post is full time and fixed term post for up to 6 years.
