The University of Bradford’s mission is to drive sustainable social and economic development, through outstanding teaching, translational research, creative enterprise, and transformative innovation. We play an important role in our community, nationally and internationally in creating opportunity and enhancing prosperity.
We are proud to be launching the Bradford-Renduchintala Enterprise Ecosystem (B-REE), a £3.3m programme which will stimulate and support the development of new business and social enterprises in our University and city. Through this programme, students, researchers, staff, graduates, and community members will be inspired, receive training and mentoring, have access to seed and growth funding, and develop their new enterprises within open, inclusive entrepreneurial environment that enables them to succeed.
This is an exciting new role which requires a skilled administrator with excellent organisational skills, who shares our values and passion to contribute to a diverse and prosperous city, and who can help to generate promotional material and co-ordinate events that engage potential entrepreneurs amongst our students, researchers, staff, graduates and disadvantaged members of our community, to participate in our programmes and to give entrepreneurship a try.
The role requires excellent verbal, visual and digital communications skills, an empathetic and positive style, an ability to manage a busy and varied workload and an organised approach. Additionally, the role involves managing a high-profile enterprise lounge facility, administering day-to-day finances, and providing PA support to a small team. The role also involves co-ordinating a Graduate Enterprise and entrepreneur visa programme.
Experience using IT packages to a high standard is essential.
The postholder must have the availability to remain agile and adaptable to changing demands on their workload.
This is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of many people and to join a team that is committed to transforming society through socially responsible entrepreneurship and innovation. In addition, we offer the following benefits:
