Our two MRes/PhD programmes will enable you to experience independent thinking in a world-class interdisciplinary environment. We are pleased to announce that applications to the following courses for 2023 entry are now open.

Both of our MRes/PhD courses are fully-funded, with an annual stipend of approximately £20,000.

MRes/PhD Business & Management

This programme is a full-time two + three year course. You’ll study a range of modules in your first two years, covering core areas of business and management, qualitative and quantitative research skills, and elective modules in your key area of interest, before undertaking your own research with close mentorship from our academic faculty.

Our research strengths include Accounting, Behavioural Science, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Information Systems and Management, Marketing, Operations, Organisation and Human Resource Management, and Strategy and International Business. We’re looking for applications with an interest in one or more of these areas.

MRes/PhD Finance & Economics

Jointly run with the University of Warwick’s Department of Economics, this programme is a full-time two + four year course. You’ll be provided with a thorough understanding of state of the art research techniques and in-depth appreciation of principal areas of interest in finance and economics, before undertaking your own research with close mentorship from our academic faculty. The MRes/PhD Finance & Economics programme aims to equip you with professional training in modern finance and economics, as well as knowledge, including the tools and techniques of analysis, and provide you with opportunities to apply both in your research.
