The Research Innovation & Enterprise office at Edinburgh Napier University is expanding.
Research Innovation & Enterprise (RIE) supports the full research journey and research planning process – from helping academics with finding funding opportunities and writing proposals, through to supporting post-award management of research projects through to communicating results and enabling impact. Due to recent positive developments across the University, we are growing the team and are now recruiting across a range of service areas.
The Research Excellence Framework 2021 found that sixty-eight per cent of research we submitted to the 2021 Research Excellence Framework was judged to be either world-leading or internationally excellent and we are the top Scottish modern university for both research power and research impact. Significant improvement in Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) results delivers increased Research Excellence Grant to the University. This has created a virtuous cycle by allowing us to invest in new academic staff and to strengthen our research infrastructure. The new roles currently open to applications will help us to further realise our research ambitions and achieve higher growth in research and knowledge exchange income generated.
Our phenomenal results from REF2021 are testament to our growing strength and capability as a research institution. These results, alongside our consistently positive National Student Survey results and sustained high levels of graduate employability, demonstrate the increasing impact of Edinburgh Napier's collective work, quality and commitment.
Joining Research Innovation & Enterprise now presents an excellent opportunity to be part of an expanding full-service research office.
