About the Job

As Admissions Manager, you’ll provide operational leadership for the Admissions team, ensuring we deliver a seamless, efficient, and customer-focused service that supports recruitment and applicant satisfaction.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, managing, and motivating the admissions team to meet recruitment goals.
  • Developing and monitoring systems for handling applications, ensuring compliance with agencies such as UCAS, UKVI, and OfS.
  • Collaborating with schools, partners, and stakeholders to streamline the admissions process.
  • Providing training and support to colleagues on admissions policies, qualifications, and systems.
  • Managing data transfers, identifying discrepancies, and working with IT to enhance system capabilities.
  • Supporting key recruitment initiatives, including Clearing and late recruitment operations.

In this role, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the admissions process and driving continuous improvement. Join us in delivering a high-quality, efficient admissions service that makes a real difference to students and the University.

To be successful you will need:

  • Substantial experience in student administration, particularly in admissions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage large data sets, prioritise deadlines, and implement systems to streamline processes.
  • Expertise in compliance, including UKVI student visa regulations, and your ability to engage across teams, will strengthen relationships and systems.
  • To be a collaborative and flexible team manager, foster morale while maintaining high service standards.

About the External Relations Directorate

Our External Relations Directorate plays a pivotal role in achieving this mission, encompassing teams across Admissions, Communications & Engagement, Marketing, Recruitment, Outreach, Change and Transformation, Events and Advancement, and the International Office.

The Admissions team is central to UEL’s success, ensuring we meet recruitment targets and deliver an outstanding, customer-focused service that supports applicants and schools. As part of this dedicated team, you’ll contribute to attracting and admitting high-quality students while enhancing their experience throughout the admissions process.
