Role Overview:

The Partnership Manager will report directly to the CEO and will be responsible for building and managing strategic partnerships between the college and external entities including businesses, local governments, higher education institutions (universities), and other stakeholders. This role seeks to improve collaborative efforts, create new partnership possibilities, and drive engagement initiatives among leading universities in UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Partnership Development and Management

  • Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with external entities to promote the college’s reputation and extend its reach.
  • Identify, assess, and secure new partnership possibilities aligned with the objectives of the college, including those related to apprenticeships, industry placements, and educational pathways
  • Act as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring effective communication and ongoing engagement.

Strategic Planning and Implementation

  • Collaborate with internal teams to comprehend the priorities and needs of the college, making sure that partnership strategies complement workforce development and educational objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support employability and curriculum development initiatives.
  • Draft business proposals outlining collaboration benefits, scope, and financial considerations for senior management. 

Project Management and Execution

  • Oversee execution of partnership projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and budgeting.
  • Monitor and evaluate partnership outcomes, provide progress reports, and ensure projects meet their objectives.
  • Organize events and activities that strengthen partnerships and foster collaboration.

Stakeholder Engagement and Representation

  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders such as industry leaders and educational institutions.
  • Represent the college at conferences, meetings, and networking events to enhance its profile and promote its goals.
  • Develop communication materials, presentations, and reports to inform and engage stakeholders.
  • Influence and inspire partners by interacting with university stakeholders at all levels including faculty, deans and administrators.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Gather, analyze, and report on partnership data, including student outcomes, satisfaction, and ROI.
  • Use insights from data to drive decision-making, improve partnership results, and support strategic planning.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of partnership agreements, contact details, and progress reports.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Applicants should have proven competency and skills developed whilst working in partnership management, business development, or a similar role within the education sector (ideally in a further or higher education organization).
  • Project Management: Demonstrated strength in managing multiple projects, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of building relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically, align partnership initiatives with institutional goals, and anticipate future trends in the education sector.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to extract insights that inform decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and adjusting to changing priorities and new opportunities.
