We are excited to be in the position to be recruiting for multiple roles within our Technical Resources Team. Whilst joining a growing technical services team committed to providing a high-quality service across the University, the available roles will predominantly support and enrich our provision of academic programmes, and research and knowledge exchange activity within our Schools of Life and Health Sciences and Psychology.
This is an exciting time for the Schools and presents the opportunity for technicians to join a thriving community, passionate about quality education, impactful research, and making a difference within science and healthcare.
The University is committed to delivering outstanding student outcomes and providing an inter-disciplinary learning experience that fosters inspiring, supportive, collaborative learning. Our technicians are essential in making this possible, working closely with our academics to foster real-world learning environments through simulated learning and specialist laboratory sessions. Enabling a practical hands-on learning environment is important that provides specialist technical learning experiences for students, builds applied skills, and develops confidence in our students.
As an established academic provider of Life and Health Sciences, covering the breadth of biosciences, nutrition, sport science, nursing, and allied health it is important our technical team encompass a breadth of specialisms in these fields to facilitate world leading research as well as applied practice. We are proud of our impact through our research which contributed to an overall 3* rating for Roehampton Allied Health Professions Unit of Assessment in REF 2021.
Our specialist laboratory facilities consist of state-of-the-art equipment housed in our suite of science laboratories enabling analytical testing across all biosciences, nutrition, sport science and psychology. Our state-of-the-art simulated learning environments for healthcare include hospital and community-based training environments for a real-world learning experience central to our nursing and allied health provision.
We are seeking creative, student-focused, research engaged colleagues to join our team. Successful candidates will thrive in an environment where they work inter-professionally and within a team, both with academics and wider professional services to support the needs of the academic Schools and University more broadly. They will collaborate with colleagues to deliver an outstanding technical service through their specialist skills and continue to thrive in through technical professional development, practice, and research.
