Our people

Our diverse community are at the heart of everything we do. Our talented community of researchers, educators, administrators, and support staff are customer-focused and champion an innovative, collaborative, and respectful culture for all.

Our journey so far

Our journey began in 1980 when Professor Lord Bhattacharyya had the seed of an idea. From this, strong roots were built, which would revolutionise how universities research and educate to meet business demands.

The idea quickly blossomed, branching out into multiple sectors and creating international education centres. This produced projects with commercial impact and nurtured the brightest talent. That small seed grew into a world-leading research and education group. WMG.

WMG has a unique perspective on the challenges of our times, as we combine outstanding education and skills with applied research and innovation to help our students and partners transform the world around them.

"It’s very important to build an institution – that’s the difference from a one-man enterprise which disappears after him. An institution that does better after your time – that is a true legacy.” –Professor Lord Bhattacharyya
