Opportunities at the School of Psychology

The School of Psychology at the University of Roehampton is excited to be recruiting full and part-time Lecturers and Senior Lecturers across a variety of areas: Child Development, Cognitive Neuroscience, Biological Psychology, Research Methods, Forensic Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Play Therapy. Our research and innovation aims at improving mental health and wellbeing in individuals, services, communities, locally, nationally and internationally. The School of Psychology is unique in its disciplinary composition and expertise which spans experimental psychology, cognitive neuroscience, comparative psychology, psychological therapies and arts and play therapies. Our multidisciplinary approach seeks to improve the understanding of factors that influence health, mental health and wellbeing, and to develop strategies and interventions to improve mental health and wellbeing particularly (but not exclusively) in young people and adolescents, and in human populations more broadly. Our researchers evidently help businesses, services, communities, and policy makers by producing nationally and internationally significant outputs and delivering impactful projects and knowledge exchange. Staff and students access a world class library and state of the art facilities that include an MRI scanner, a fully equipped psychology lab, a psychological therapy suite and art, dance, music and play therapy studios.
